Highway 9 expected to be closed off as dead trees removed
A portion of Highway 9 is expected to be closed from April 22 to April 25 as crews remove dead trees located along the highway.
The closure will be from Keystone Way in Santa Cruz to Glengarry Road in Felton. Crews are expected to work along that path from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day, with an expected completion date of April 25.
Caltrans says the trees present a fire danger if left alone.
Crews are attempting to get ahead of the oncoming warm weather season expected for the Central Coast.
Detours are suggested through Mount Herman and Graham Hill Road, with an estimated 5 to 10 minute delay as a result of this work.
Caltrans urges drivers to move over or slow down for workers while in construction zones.
