Monterey County EMT pleads not guilty to child sexual abuse charges
UPDATE 4/12/19 10:00 a.m. The Monterey County EMT who pleaded not guilty to accusations he sexually abused a child is scheduled for his next court appearance on June 19 with a hearing scheduled for June 21.
Kevin Crane agreed to both dates set by the judge in the case and is expected in court on those dates.
4/2/2019 4:00 p.m. A Monterey County EMT accused of sexually abusing a child has pleaded not guilty to the charges.
36-year-old Kevin Crane was arrested on March 28 for 98 counts that include lewd acts with a child under the age of 14, but Crane’s attorney says much fewer charges were filed.
During his arraignment Tuesday, Crane plead not guilty, but was also placed under protective order and a hearing for further setting was scheduled for April 12.
Crane’s provisional bail is set at $500 thousand.

According to police, Kevin Crane, 36, was arrested on March 28 for engaging in lewd acts with a child under the age of 14.
Crane faces 98 counts.
Charges include child cruelty and sexual abuse. His bail was set at $5.3 million.
