Declaration of warrants released for suspects wanted in connection to Dr. Burchard’s murder
More details on the murder of Dr. Thomas Burchard are coming to light following the release of various documents.
Arrest warrants have been released by the Las Vegas Police Department and go into detail why they were issued for Jon Logan Kennison and Diana Nicole Pena.
Neither of them have been arrested yet.
Kelsey Turner is being extradited as we speak. KION received word she is no longer in custody at the San Joaquin County Jail.
The arrest warrants we obtained today reveal Burchard had an intimate relationship with Turner, and was visiting her at the time of the murder.
His body was found in the trunk of Turner’s Mercedes. He was bludgeoned to death. The warrant shows his body was likely left in the Nevada desert March 3. Detectives found him four days later.
When we spoke with Burchard’s longtime girlfriend, Judy Earp. She insisted Turner, the aspiring model, didn’t act alone.
“I am certain she had help,” Earp said. “I’m concerned until they’re all arrested.”
Detectives believe the same thing. The warrants reveal Kennison’s and Pena’s fingerprints were found in the Mercedes Burchard’s body was found in.
They also show Kennison is Turner’s boyfriend. He and Pena lived in the same Las Vegas home with Turner.
After searching that home, the arrest warrant says detectives discovered a broken door to an apparent fight. They also incovered evidence blood was cleaned up in the garage and a bedroom.
Turner’s house cleaner told police he was asked by Pena to clean up what he thought was red wine out of the carpet in the days following Burchard’s death.
