Video shows rescue of hiker in Big Sur

Video from the California Highway Patrol Coastal Division shows a hoist rescue in Big Sur.

A hiker injured her ankle and had to be airlifted out of Garrapata State Park on Saturday, March 23.

Cal Fire, Mid-Coast Fire Brigade and the Monterey County Sheriff’s Office all responded.

The hiker is expected to be okay.
