Female inmate dies at Monterey County Jail Saturday

UPDATE 3/18/2019 2:35 a.m. An inmate who died at the Monterey County Jail on Saturday has been identified as 38-year-old Jenny Martin from Seaside.

The Sheriff’s Office is waiting for autopsy results to determine her cause of death, and they have not released where in the jail she was found.

PREVIOUS STORY: The Monterey County Sheriff’s Office confirms that there was an inmate death at the Monterey County Jail Saturday.

It is still under investigation, and no other details have been released at this time.
