Carmel man pleads guilty to annoying calls made to Monterey County Supervisors
A Carmel man pleaded guilty to two counts of making annoying telephone calls to Monterey County Supervisors and a Carmel realtor.
According to the Monterey County District Attorney’s Office, 58-year-old Peter Wells left 18 harassing voicemails and numerous calls to a realtor he had known for 20 years.
The calls were made in March 2018.
“He used profane language and threatened to report the realtor to law enforcement for conduct fabricated by Wells,” the DA’s Office said in a written statement.
Wells also left voicemails for Supervisors Luis Alejo and Simon Salinas on Oct. 22, 2018. Wells expressed his displeasure with the two supervisors for their views on changing the voting age to 16. Wells said he believed they were traitors and should be put up against the wall and shot.
