Evacuations lifted following bomb threat at Monterey County Courthouse
UPDATE: 3/11/2019 11:42 a.m. The Monterey County Courthouse and the District Attorney’s Office were evacuated due to a bomb threat, Monday morning.
The Monterey County Sheriff’s Office told KION multiple threatening phone calls were recieved around 8:30 a.m.
The Monterey County Government Center was also evacuated.
Following a search, the Monterey County Sheriff’s Office bomb squad did not find any signs of explosive devices inside the buildings.
The offices will reopen around 1 p.m.
