Proposed bill would put California’s deadbeat parents on blast

A state lawmaker is looking to put California’s deadbeat parents on blast with a new bill.

A proposed bill is calling for a database of ‘deadbeat’ parents.

The measure would require the Department of Child Support Services to put together a website listing parents who owe more than $5,000 in child support.

The website would include the name, picture, amount they owe in child support, and zip code.

If the bill passes, the webpage would be online in 2021.
