Dog rescued from cliff in San Francisco
San Francisco firefighters rescued a dog hanging on for its life Tuesday (Feb. 26) afternoon.
The dog became stranded when it fell some 15 feet down a cliff face.
Fire crews were able to reach the dog, named ‘Bodhi’, by using a ladder.
The dog did not appear to be injured and was reunited with its owner.
The owner says the dog just ran away.
The owner thanked the San Francisco Fire Department for their work.
Firefighters encourage owners to keep their dogs on a leash when in this area, known as Fort Funston.
Last week, another incident happened in this area, when a woman was trapped under a massive pile of sand when a cliff collapsed. Authorities have not been able to locate her and she is presumed dead. They believe her body is underneath the sand or it may have washed out to sea.
