Magnitude 3.3 quake strikes South Monterey County

A magnitude 3.3 earthquake struck South Monterey County around 10:30 a.m. Monday.

According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the quakes epicenter was 17 miles from King City, and 24 miles from Greenfield.

In the last 10 days, there haven’t been any earthquakes in the area with a magnitude 3.0 or greater.
