Hollister man offers child alcohol, asks for sex
A sex offender out of Hollister was arrested again for allegedly offering a child alcohol and asking that child to have sex.
The alleged incident happened in Central California on Feb. 16.
According to the Corcoran Police Department, 73-year-old Seferino Arjona Rodarte approached a child walking near Corcoran High School in the Central Valley. The victim’s parent told police that Rodarte offered their child whiskey and asked the child for sex.
Police said Rodarte pulled the child toward him and held onto the minor’s hand for a prolonged period of time.
Rodarte was located at a bus stop in front of the Cost Less Foods.
Authorities said Rodarte had an outstanding warrant from the Department of Corrections and was a convicted sex offender who is out of compliance with his mandated registration.
Rodarte was arrested for annoying/molesting a minor and for the outstanding warrant. He was booked into the Kings County Jail where he is being held without bail due to the warrant.
