Salinas Police: Two shootings on San Miguel Ave are “likely connected”
Salinas Police arrested two minors and two adults in connection with a pair of shootings at the same home on back to back nights.
The home is located on the 600 block of San Miguel Avenue, with each shooting taking place Saturday and Sunday night.
The first shooting on Saturday night was during a house party and one man was grazed by a bullet following an argument that led to gunfire.
The second shooting was on Sunday night and according to Salinas Police involved four people shooting at the same home where the house party shooting took place the previous night.
No one was inside the home at the time of the drive-by shooting.
Salinas police believe those involved were located in a vehicle associated with the drive-by attempt.
That vehicle was located on John and Wood Street late Sunday evening.
SPD believes both shootings are “likely” connected but will continue investigating.
The adult suspects have been identified as 19-year-old Jose Rafael Mireles and 18-year-old Abraham Edward Vargas.
UPDATE (2/17/19, 10:40 p.m.):
Four people, two juveniles and two adults, have been arrested in connection with a series of weekend shootings at a home on San Miguel Avenue, in Salinas.
Sunday night at approximately 8:20 p.m. the Salinas Police Department tells KION that multiple shots were fired from a car into a home on the 600 block of San Miguel Avenue. No one was inside the home at the time.
Police found a matching vehicle on John and Wood streets, minutes later. They arrested four people inside the vehicle.
SPD believes this shooting is connected to the shooting at a house party at the same home on Saturday night.

For the second night in a row, there was a shooting on San Miguel Avenue in Salinas.
The Salinas Police Department confirms with KION that shots were fired Sunday night and several people are in custody.
No one was injured.
