Fight between transient women leads to stabbing
A transient woman was stabbed in the arm and another was hit with a cane after they got into an argument Saturday night.
It happened at the Transit Center in Salinas when a woman was sleeping on a bench. Salinas Police say she was approached by another transient woman in a wheelchair who claimed that was her spot.
The woman in the wheelchair then started to hit the woman on the bench with her cane.
The woman on the bench tried to defend herself with part of the other woman’s wheelchair, but eventually pulled out a pair of cuticle scissors and stabbed the woman in the arm. She had minor injuries.
The 58-year-old who was stabbed was taken into custody by Salinas Police because she started the argument.
