Families displaced after trees fall on homes in Carmel

UPDATE: 2/13/2019 4:03 p.m. Families were displaced from their homes after trees fell on several properties in Carmel.

According to Carmel’s police chief, the downed trees landed on homes on 10th Street and Camino Real, Lobos and Fourth Street and on Dolores and 9th Street Wednesday morning.

The city has activated a local regional CERT team to help with traffic control due to eight downed trees and several fallen limbs.

A total of four roads were closed.

Some residents are stuck at home due to downed powerlines.

Several power outages have been reported including one at City Hall.
