Suspect arrested for armed robbery at Motel 6 in Marina

A suspect was arrested for robbing a motel in Marina at gunpoint.

According to Marina police, 23-year-old Christopher Culkin walked into the Motel 6 with a semiautomatic rifle and demanded the clerk give him money.

The incident happened around 1 a.m. on Dec. 17.

It was reported that Culkin wore dark clothing and a face mask with a hood.

After getting the money, Clukin allegedly ran off.

Detectives reviewed surveillance video and were able to get leads in the case.

Culkin was arrested in Seaside on Dec. 19. He was booked into the Monterey County Jail.
