Mysterious light in the sky has Central Coast talking
A light across the state, and many have been trying to figure out what it was.
Dozens of viewers have been sending in pictures and videos of that light that flashed across the sky.
“I’ve seen shooting stars and it’s a streak and then it disappears but this is different, you know when the streak stays and the glow stays,” said Central Coast resident Jay Cohen.
“It’s like weird because a falling star would usually start right at the edge of the atmosphere and you’d see it going for quite a while,” said Noah West in Salinas.
At first many thought it could’ve been the United Launch Alliance scheduled for Wednesday, but that was scrapped.
Now the National Weather Service says it was most likely a meteor.
An official explanation from NASA has yet to be released.
