Owner ties dog to bench outside Monterey business and leaves

The Monterey Police Department needs the public’s help identifying an abandoned dog and it’s owner.

A dog was left tied up to a park bench outside of an office building on Ryan Court in Monterey on Sunday.

KION spoke with a man who saw the dog that was left outside the building he works at, and said the dog was agitated and wet when he arrived.

Police said the person who abandoned the dog was driving an older model maroon Chevrolet Silverado.
