Daycare worker’s son sentenced for lewd acts with a child
A Salinas daycare worker’s son is sentenced to eight years in prison for lewd acts with a child under the age of 14.
23-year-old Jairo Lopez is accused of sexually abusing an 11-year-old at the daycare his mother ran in 2013.
During an investigation, a second victim was found who was abused in 2008.
Lopez was under the age of 18 at the time.
In addition to 8 years in prison, he will have to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life and pay restitution.
He was issued a restraining order and cannot contact the victim for the next 10 years.
