Man accused of stabbing family members in Carmel Valley home
UPDATE: 11/26/2018 11:37 a.m. A man is behind bars after deputies say he stabbed three family members at their Carmel Valley home.
The incident happened around 8 p.m. Sunday.
Authorities have identified the suspect as 23-year-old Jacob Lee. Lee is accused of stabbing his mother, father and grandmother at a home on Quail Meadows Drive.
Monterey County Sheriff’s Commander, John Thornburg said he believes the mother is in critical condition.
A sheriff’s K-9 tracked Lee about 100 yards from the family home. He was arrested outside the gated community.
Lee faces charges for assault with a deadly weapon and attempted murder.
Investigators are still trying to determine a motive for the attack.

At least one person has been injured in a stabbing in Carmel Valley, Sunday night. Law enforcement is still searching for the male suspect.
The Monterey County Sheriff’s Office tells KION the attack was reported at 7:55 p.m. at a home on Quail Meadows Drive – south of Carmel Valley Road.
