Scotts Valley traffic stop leads to two arrests
A traffic stop in Scotts Valley landed two people behind bars after being caught with drugs.
According to Scotts Valley Police, on Friday night, officers stopped a car for a cracked windshield. Officers then discovered the driver, identified as Pamela Bright, did not have a license.
K9 Atlas then led the officers to drugs in the car. They found 1/3 pound of methamphetamine.
Pamela Bright called the father of her child to come get some belongings from the car before it was towed. The man identified as Calvin Carlson, was found to be on active probation for a prior conviction for selling meth.
During a probation search, Carlson was found with meth, packaging material and a large amount of cash.
Pamela Bright and Calvin Carlson were both arrested.
Carlson was also placed of probation hold. Police seized more than 160 grams of methamphetamine.
