Monterey Fire Department taking donations for fire victims
Monterey city firefighters are joining a nationwide campaign to provide relief to the state’s fire victims.
Starting today and continuing through December 5, the Monterey Fire Department will accept donations of gift cards, and specific items like diapers, baby wipes and new toys.
Gift cards to stores like Target, Walmart, Safeway, Lucky and Visa gift cards are especially helpful.
Donations can be made online to the Monterey Fireman’s Charitable Association Donation Fund through the Community Foundation for Monterey County.
Donations can also be left at the following fire stations:
Station 11 — 600 Pacific Street Station 12 — 582 Hawthorne Street Station 13 — Dela Vina Avenue Station 14 — 600 Pine Street in Pacific Grove Station 15 — Sixth and Mission in Carmel-by-the-Sea
Collection barrels are available at all fire stations, MY Museum in Monterey, and both the upper and lower campuses of Bay View Academy in Monterey.
