Soledad man kidnapped during home invasion
A 26-year-old man was kidnapped during a home invasion in Soledad.
According to the Soledad Police Department, the incident happened in the 1700 block of Marin Place around 8:30 a.m. Monday.
Chief Eric Sills said two or more suspects broke into a home, struggled with 26-year-old Jorge Jasso and forcibly took him from the home.
Witnesses said they were awakened by the sound of the front door of the home being forced open and the struggle with Jasso. Witnesses told police they heard at least two people yelling at Jasso and telling him to be quiet.
Jasso is 5’8, 180 lbs, brown eyes and brown hair, and was last seen wearing only dark shorts and no other clothing.
Soledad police said there is no known motive at this time.
Investigators from the Monterey County District Attorney’s Office and the Federal Bureau of Investigation are also assisting with the investigation.
