Morgan Hill police say school threat “not credible”

Morgan Hill police will have a stepped-up presence at the city’s schools Monday, following a social media threat “to shoot up BMS.”

The Snapchat post caused concern among parents of students at Lewis H. Britton Middle School (known as BMS) in Morgan Hill.

Multiple South Bay police agencies investigated, and determined the threat was directed at schools in Benson, AZ and not Morgan Hill.

The Benson Unified School District announced all schools will be closed Monday as a precaution.
