DUI driver, passenger ejected in rollover accident near Hollister, one dead

A Hollister man was arrested for driving under the influence, after killing his passenger in a rollover accident in San Benito County.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal crash happened around 11 p.m. Sunday on Quien Sabe Ranch Road.

CHP said the driver, 30-year-old Travis White was in a white 2002 GMC when he made an unsafe turn causing the car to overturn.

Both White and his passenger, a 20-year-old of Hollister, were ejected from the GMC. The passenger was killed and the driver sustained minor injuries.

White was arrested for being under the influence of alcohol and or drugs at the time of the crash. He was booked into San Benito County Jail.

Quien Sabe Ranch Road was shut down for roughly 90 minutes for on scene investigation.
