Salinas police arrest man on gun and gang charges
Salinas Police arrested a man on multiple gang and firearm charges, Saturday afternoon.
Just at 4:30 p.m., the department reports they stopped a car for running a stop sign at Central Avenue and West Street. They say when the car stopped, Guillermo Reyes, 20, got out of the right front passenger seat and ran west on Central Avenue.
Reyes allegedly tossed a .357 ca Smith & Wesson revolver in the 300 block of Central Avenue, and stopped running.
Police arrested Reyes and recovered the gun. He was booked into the Monterey County Jail.
