Fire tornado snatches hose

A fire tornado destroyed a power line in Vanderhoof, British Columbia on August 18, pulling one firefighter’s hose up to 100 feet in the air melting it altogether.

Firefighter Mary Schidlowsky shot and posted a video of the fire tornado to her Instagram on August 18.

Officials said that rising heat from the ongoing wildfires combined with extremely high winds were the cause.
