Prowler confesses to Santa Cruz burglaries
A Watsonville man was caught prowling in a Santa Cruz neighborhood and later confessed to several burglaries in the area.
According to Santa Cruz PD, the incident occurred on Sunday, (9/16) around 5:42 a.m.
SCPD said an officer responded to a disturbance call when he spotted suspected prowler, 21-year-old Daniel Bolton in a nearby yard.
“The suspect prowler, startled by Officer Bridges’ arrival, immediately ran in the opposite direction,” said SCPD.
A second patrol officer caught Bolton around the corner. He was arrested and found to have a warrant for possession of burglary tools.
After canvasing the area it was determined that two other burglaries occurred, including one at the home Bolton was spotted at.
Bolton ultimately confessed to the burglaries and was booked into the Santa Cruz County Jail.
