Serial tip thieves hit up Salinas restaurants

Reports of tip thieves targeting Salinas restaurants has staff and customers worried.

The Denny’s off North Main Street said they’ve been experiencing this problem for weeks. They admit that there have been multiple thieves who have come in to snatch money off of tables.

The incidents have become so common the Denny’s employees gave nicknames to the thieves. The man pictured below, also known as “Batman” allegedly stole cash from a table at Denny’s earlier this week.

A report has been filed with the Salinas Police Department.
