Salinas Police investigating early morning homicide on Rider Avenue
UPDATE: 9/11/2018 9:05 a.m. The Salinas Police Department is investigating an early morning homicide that took place on the 900 block of Rider Avenue.
Officers responded to reports of possible shots fired around 1:43 a.m. Tuesday. Once on scene, 29-year-old Isaac Moreno was found suffering from gunshot wounds. Moreno died at the scene.
“Apparently, he and a 29-year-old male were sitting in a car when a dark colored SUV drove up. Someone from the SUV shot at the two and Mr. Moreno was struck,” said Sgt. Danny Warner.
The second victim was uninjured.
