Prunedale fire fully contained

UPDATE: 9/3/2018 12:54 p.m. A vegetation fire ignited east of Prunedale at around 2:30 p.m., Saturday. The fire was on private property off San Juan Grade Road, north of Crazy Horse Canyon Road.

Cal Fire told KION that as of 4:40 p.m. (9/1) forward progress had been stopped. The fire grew to approximately 60 acres. Officials are still working to figure out what caused the fire.

No structures were damaged.

Northbound traffic was closed at the San Juan Grade Road/Crazy Horse Canyon Road intersection.

The fire was fully contained Monday, September 3.
