Mother with infant leads police on high speed chase
A woman was arrested after sending authorities on a high-speed vehicle pursuit throughout the city of San Antonio, Texas with her infant baby in the backseat.
The incident happened back in June 15th along Highway 90 near the Lackland Airforce Base.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, 29-year-old Caitlyn Rodriguez was wanted on warrants and drove off after troopers attempted to stop her.
Newly released helicopter video shows Rodriguez traveling on Highway 90 at 100 mph and then rear ending a pick-up truck.
The woman gets out of the vehicle and grabs her infant child from the back seat and flees on foot.
While they woman attempted to allegedly steal another vehicle, an officer drove in front of the vehicle and was able to make the arrest.
Rodriguez was charged with child endangerment, possession of a controlled substance and evading arrest.
Her baby was turned over to Child Protective Services.
