King City burglary suspect in custody

King City police have arrested 31 year old Oscar Venegas for allegedly burglarizing a residence on August 22, 2018.

The incident occurred in that time at the 100 block of River Drive in King City.

Preliminary investigation shows Venegas had entered the residence through a side door, startling two female juveniles who were inside at the time.

Suspect then directed the females to a room in the residence and ordered them to stay in place.

Police say Venegas then took some items from the females and fled the residence on foot.

Venegas was taken into custody on August 28 without incident and has been charged with burglary of an inhabited dwelling/robbery.

He has been booked into the Monterey County Jail.
