Wanted parolee arrested by Salinas Police
There was a sizable official and law enforcement presence in the area of San Juan Grade Road and Penzance Street, Sunday night. The Salinas Police Department says they arrested a man who is a wanted parolee.
SPD tells KION they found Gabriel Martinez, 42, at a residence near San Juan Grade Road and Penzance Street, before 7 p.m., Sunday. He had a felony warrant for his arrest. A police K9 helped officials on scene find Martinez in a nearby yard.
Salinas Police says they previously attempted to find Martinez in that area the week prior, but were unsuccessful.
