Former Salinas CHP Officer convicted of raping a child in Washington State
A former Salinas area California Highway Patrol Officer convicted of child molestation on the Central Coast has now been found guilty of raping a child in Washington State.
According to the Pierce County Superior Court, on Monday, August 13th, Jacob Duenas was found guilty of several counts of raping a child in the first degree.
In 2007, Duenas was arrested for giving a pair of teenage girls alcohol and trying to get them to perform lewd sex acts on him in the Salinas area.
He had been working for the CHP for four years at the time.
Duenas was convicted in 2008 in Salinas and sentenced to three years probation and required to register as a sex offender.
Duenas is scheduled to be sentenced on September 28th for the crime in Pierce County.
