Victim stabbed in chest on bus in Marina

A man was stabbed in the chest while riding a bus in Marina.

According to Marina PD, officers responded to a report of a stabbing around 10 p.m. Thursday night.

The suspect, 23-year-old Jeremy William Atkins Polikoff of Seaside, allegedly stabbed an acquaintance with a pocketknife.

Officers found Polikoff near Imjin Parkway and Reservation Road and took him into custody. He was booked into Monterey County Jail for Assault with a Deadly Weapon and violating his probation terms.

The 29-year-old victim was treated for non-life threatening injuries.
