Ex Monterey County correctional officer arrested for attempting to have sex with inmate
The Monterey County Sheriff’s Office said an ex-correctional officer was booked into county jail after attempting to have sex with an inmate.
Juliana Vanesa Picazo was arrested on June 7 for attempting to engage in a sex crime with an inmate, conspiracy to commit a crime and having unauthorized communication with a prisoner.
Salinas Valley State Prison in Soledad confirmed with KION that Picazo worked as a correctional officer at their facility but said she resigned February 28.
