A Salinas girl scout was celebrated as CEO for a day for selling the most cookies throughout the region.

9-year-old Lily Munoz is a Junior Girl Scout who participated in the cookie sale from January 27 to March 11. Girl Scouts of California’s Central Coast hosted Munoz as CEO on July 24.

Lily met with the COO of the Monterey Bay Aquarium and Lifetime Girl Scout, Cynthia Vernon. She also met with Salinas Mayor Joe Gunter and talked about what she learned from her cookie sales.

Lily says, “People are more encouraged to buy cookies from you when you have a smile on your face!”
