Accused child molester arrested in Salinas

A Salinas man accused of molesting a girl over the course of several years is now behind bars.

37-year-old Eric Quintanilla Ruiz was arrested Thursday after a victim told the Watsonville Police Department that she had been sexually abused by Ruiz. She said the abuse started when she was 14-years-old and it lasted for three years.

After investigating, WPD and Salinas PD arrested Ruiz in Salinas. Ruiz was booked into the Monterey County Jail with a $300,000 bail.
