Three people arrested after caught with drugs and a gun in Hollister
Three people are behind bars after being caught with a loaded handgun and drugs in Hollister.
According to Hollister Police, an officer was called out to the area of Ladd Lane and Tres Pinos Road around 12:25 am on Tuesday, July 10th.
The officer found the car matching the description of a car driving up and down a city street causing a disturbance.
Three men were inside the car after a search by officers and a K9, officers found mushrooms and methamphetamine.
Officers also found a loaded handgun and one hundred rounds of ammunition.
18-year-old Brandon Olivera of Hollister, 22-year-old David Werolin of Hollister, and 22-year-old Kelon Jacobs of Gilroy were arrested.
Police said Werolin was arrested on charges of a driver allowing a passenger to carry a loaded firearm in a vehicle and possession of a controlled substance. Jacobes was charged with possession of a controlled substance, and Olivera was charged with carrying a loaded firearm, carrying a firearm/not being the owner of the firearm and possession of a controlled substance.
Hollister Police wanted to thank a vigilant community member for reporting the suspicious vehicle.
