Bicentennial flag stolen from Santa Cruz home

A bicentennial flag was stolen from a home in Santa Cruz and now a reward is being offered.

The unique flag was taken from a home in the lower east side earlier this week.

Santa Cruz Police Chief Andy Mills says he’s offering a $100 dollar reward to anyone who has information leading to the arrest and recovery of this special flag.

“Our flag has meaning for all those who have served it. Many have bled for it. Scores died for it,” Chief Mills said.

The Santa Cruz Fire Chief is also offering a reward for any information leading to a suspect.
