Woman in Soquel arrested for DUI and assaulting an officer

Monday night a woman in Soquel was arrested under suspicion of a DUI and for assaulting a CHP officer during the arrest.

This happened at the Home Depot on 41st Avenue.

After being pulled over, Rochelle Sherman tried to kick out the windows of the patrol car.

She hit the side windows and the roof after she got out of the seatbelt.

When an officer opened the door, Sherman spit on him.

She had to be put in leg restraints and was taken to Dominican hospital for medical clearance.

While in the hospital, she continued to fight by screaming and thrashing, so she had to be restrained again.

Sherman was booked into the Santa Cruz County Jail.
