Suspects caught tagging gang graffiti on Live Oak building

The Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s Office busted three people tagging gang graffiti on a building in Live Oak.

Wednesday afternoon, deputies from the Gang Enforcement Team spotted Enrique Rocha, Norberto Gonzalez and Olivia Danthon tagging a building along the railroad tracks between 17th and Chanticleer Avenue.

Danthon still had paint on her hands when she was detained.

All three people were placed under arrest for vandalism and other felony charges.

“Graffiti is a huge problem in Santa Cruz County and costs thousands of dollars to clean up and repaint,” said the sheriff’s office.

The County of Santa Cruz developed an application called Citizen Connect. This app allows people to document the location of the graffiti and submit pictures. A company is contracted to respond to clean the graffiti.

The pictures are saved for future criminal cases.

The Citizen Connect app can be found on the sheriff’s office website: click HERE.
