Police: Van stolen with dogs inside found
Police say they have found a van that was stolen from a Northern California restaurant parking lot with more than a dozen show dogs inside.
Redding police say the 2018 Dodge cargo van was discovered late Thursday morning, a day after it was taken. All 14 dogs inside were safe.
Tony Carter, a professional dog trainer who owns the van, told the Record Searchlight of Redding that he left the van running and unlocked on Wednesday afternoon when he stopped for lunch at a local In-N-Out.
The van was gone in minutes.
He was headed to a dog show in the San Francisco Bay Area.
