Burglary suspect considered “armed & dangerous” caught in Marina
A burglary suspect considered armed and dangerous was caught stealing from several cars in Marina.
Marina police officers received reports from a resident that a man was pulling on car door handles on Hibbing Circle around 3:28 a.m. Thursday.
As officers arrived they located Nicklaus Hall, a known suspect wanted for several outstanding felony warrants including a parole violation and a $100,000 armed robbery warrant out of Santa Clara County.
Hall took off running but was cornered in a yard. After refusing to comply with police Hall was tased.
“The taser was not effective and Hall was able to jump over a small fence and continued to flee on foot. A second Marina officer located Hall and gave chase. Hall continued to run and disobey orders to stop,” Marina PD said.
Hall tripped and fell to the ground and that’s when police tased him a second time before taking him into custody.
Marina PD said Hall had stolen from at least five unlocked cars Thursday morning.
Marina PD originally identified Hall on May 18 and posted surveillance photos of him stealing from cars on their Facebook page.
Hall was booked into Monterey County Jail for robbery, parole violation, false information to peace officer, unlawful possession of prescription medication, possession of stolen property, burglary, vehicle tampering, and delaying/obstructing a peace officer.
“The Marina Police Department would like to thank the citizen who took the time to immediately call in and report this and give a great description and direction of travel for the suspect. Without their assistance, our suspect would likely have eluded capture once again.”
