Salinas woman busted with gun, drugs and thousands of dollars in cash
A routine traffic stop turned into a gun and drug bust in Salinas.
On Tuesday, the Salinas Police Departments Violence Suppression Unit (VSU) pulled over 25-year-old Karen Loggins and found she was driving on a suspended license. During a search of her car officers located 282 grams of heroin and more than $2,400 in cash.
The VSU wrote a search warrant for Loggins’ home in the 1200 block of Riker Street and found a loaded Glock 23 and an additional 6.5 grams of heroin and 138.5 grams of marijuana inside.
Loggins was booked into Monterey County Jail.
