Prunedale man sentenced to prison for molesting child

A Prunedale man has been sentenced to prison for molesting a child.

56-year-old Crispin Manuel Vasquez was sentenced to eight years in prison for forcible child molestation.

The victim, Jane Doe, said when she was 10 to 12 years old, Vasquez, a family friend, had inappropriately touched her.

Because of the seriousness of the crime, he will have to serve 85-percent of his sentence and once he’s released, will have to register as a sex offender.

He has four prior convictions for indecent exposure.
