Man stabbed to death in Chinatown
One man is dead from an apparent stabbing that happened Tuesday night in Salinas’ Chinatown area.
Salinas police were dispatched to Lake Street and Bridge Alley around 8:30 a.m. and found 49-year-old Randy Edward Perry suffering from at least one stab wound. He was taken to Natividad Medical Center and was declared dead about an hour later.
This marks the city’s fifth homicide of the year.
“The motive for this homicide is unknown at this time, therefore, it is unknown if this crime is gang related,” said SPD.
Police said no witnesses have come forward yet and they ask anyone with information about the case to give them a call.
