Royal Oaks man dies in motorcycle crash Monday evening
A Royal Oaks man died after crashing his motorcycle into a utility pole Monday.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the 56-year-old motorcyclist was driving eastbound on Lewis Road east of Vega Road around 6:23 p.m. The motorcyclist lost control, hit a utility pole and was thrown from his bike.
First responders found the man lying on a driveway at 604 Lewis Road. The 56-year-old was taken to Natividad Medical Center where he died from his injuries.
CHP said it’s unknown if drugs or alcohol were a factor in this crash. The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
