Salinas Police arrest teens found with drugs and a gun
Salinas Police arrested two juveniles for allegedly having a gun and drugs, Saturday night.
Violence Suppression Unit officers conducted a traffic stop on their SUV.
SPD says the 16-year-old passenger was “acting nervous” when told to exit the vehicle. He reportedly had a loaded Taurus PT 145 Pro .45 caliber handgun in his waistband.
A backpack in the vehicle, allegedly belonging to another 16-year-old, contained four grams of cocaine, 30 Xanax pills and 223 grams of marijuana. SPD says the marijuana was packaged for sales.
Both juveniles were placed in Juvenile Hall.
