Arizona man caught breaking into cars in Marina
An Arizona man was caught breaking into cars in Marina early Friday morning.
According to Marina Police Department, the burglaries took place in the 400 block of Reservation Road. A Marina police officer watched a man get out of his car and repeatedly hit the window of another vehicle around 5:30 a.m.
As the suspect, Luis Arturo Chim Alonso Jr, got back in his car, officers confronted him.
After his arrest, multiple vehicle burglaries were reported in the city of Marina.
“Property from at least two of the vehicle burglaries was found in Chim Alonso Jr.’s vehicle,” Marina police said.
Chim Alonso was booked into Monterey County Jail on suspicion of burglary, vehicle tampering, possession of stolen property, possession of burglary tools and possession of drug paraphernalia.
The Marina Police Department asks anyone who may have had their car broken into overnight within the Marina city limits to contact police at 831-384-7575.
